Reading these claims
- AI training: "only if you opt in" means the policy says recordings are not used to train models without your consent; "not used for shared models" means the policy rules out general models but personalises from your data.
- HIPAA has no official certification. A clinic that records patients needs a business associate agreement (BAA). We record whether the brand claims alignment, claims compliance, or offers a BAA. "Aligned with" is not a compliance claim.
- Certifications are audits the brand says it has passed (SOC 2, ISO 27001). We record the claim; we have not seen the reports.
- Recording other people: some US states require everyone in a conversation to consent. See your state's law or the Reporters Committee's recording guide; nothing here is legal advice.
